To brand a neighbourhood eatery in Pune that served honest, clean, everyday food without the fuss.
Our job was to build everything from the ground up: conceive and name the brand, design its visual identity, find the right physical space to open in, and then create the entire digital ecosystem — website, social media, and automated reputation management so that when the doors opened, the brand was ready.
Starting from zero meant every decision carried weight.
Naming a restaurant brand that had to feel warm, memorable, and scalable was the first hurdle it had to work on a storefront, a logo, a website, and a social media handle simultaneously.
Finding the right location in Pune’s competitive food market added another layer: the spot had to match the brand’s everyday, neighbourhood feel while being commercially viable.
Once the restaurant was live, managing its online reputation especially Google Business Profile reviews at scale without a dedicated team was a real operational challenge.
And building a social media presence from scratch for a brand with zero followers, zero history, and zero recognition required a content strategy that could cut through a crowded, food-saturated market.
The Name & Brand Identity
“Platesman” didn’t exist before this project. We developed the name, the positioning “Everyday Eatery” and the full visual identity including the logo, colour palette, and brand tone. Everything was built to feel approachable, clean, and scalable from a single outlet to a city-wide brand.
Location Strategy
We identified Bavdhan as the right fit a growing residential pocket in Pune with an underserved demand for quality everyday dining. The location wasn’t just picked for footfall; it was chosen to match the brand’s neighbourhood, no-fuss personality.

A full website built from scratch at platesman.com covering the menu, catering, corporate orders, meal subscriptions, an investor page, and a blog. Designed to serve both walk-in customers looking for directions and business clients exploring bulk orders.
